Regulations
General
Mountaineering orienteering competition presents review of achievments, knowledge, skills and preparedness of the individual members of the mountaineering associations which are members of the Balkan Mountaineering Union (BMU) for using maps and technical tools for safe movement in the nature for quick navigation on the unknown terrain, specially in mountain landscape.
Competitors needs to show their skills and theoretical knowledge which refers to competitive orientation as well as in mountaineering in complete.
Competition is in teams, devided in daily and night races and solving practical and theoretical problems.
In the interpretation and using these Regulations the participants, organizers and members of jury must be fair.
All competitors must have corresponding health and sport insurance, which enable help in accidental cases.
Competition will be held in every metheo conditions!
Official language is English.
All competitors participate on their own risk (responsibility).

TERRAIN DESCRIPTION: The terrain is mostly afforested (beech and fir)
partially with low overgrowth which aggravates passability. The terrain is
razed to the valleys, peaks and lots of land details, ditches and stone
sections suitable for orientation.

CATEGORIES:
Pioneers: up to 15 years old (born in 2002 and later)
Juniors: up to 18 years old (born in 1999 and later)
Seniors: over 18 years old (born 1999 and earlier)
Veterans: over 45 years of age (born in 1972 and earlier)
NEED EQUIPMENT:
Equipment for moving in wooded and mountainous terrain regardless of
weather conditions. Teams must have compasses, first aid, pencil,
protractor, divider, rulers and calculator. High-cut hiking boots, first aid
kit and backpack are required. Electronic devices that show location on
the map and terrain are not allowed.
